Subject_01_Laser cut model

This is result surface for laser cut model. For assemble the whole parts, I use the piano wire 2.5mm. The gap is 3mm that same with the thickness of each surface.

The four rods are placed in corner each square and it must be thin for clearly surface. And for fix these rods, use the glue for plastic.

This is final picture. I think the final model needs more clear surface and more step for surface or make fragments bigger than this for making clear void in next time.

I think about the next step for 3d printing same concept. The 3d printing is the not clearly surface so the outside solid will be wireframe form and the inner void will be solid I think. So I try this one.

BREAK:IN_04

Subject_01_Lasercut preparing & Collision shape trimming

This is first experiment for this concept. The final form model, the drawing must have the hole and number part for assembling after laser cut.

The collision shapes are too complicate, so I have to trim the line and surface for making laser cut. The fragment are merged for solid outside part, and the fragments are rearranged for inside void. The final shapes are made with two parts. This is left side part final form.

For final lesrcut, projecting the line in this model for extracting the surface each part. The surface are total 18EA and this is just let part. The final form will be assembled left and right parts totally.

Subject_01_Collision

At this time, I experiment collision for accident situation. The original two objects are normal cube and the collision is breaking accidentally by vornoi rule. The accident will be outside solid and the result fragments will be inner side void. The two objects are same size and have same velocity in this situation. This is the collision between same things.

The selected frame shapes are converted to maya with obj file form. These will making final form with solid and void. But the original part have breaking fragment originally, It needs making one shape in model. Otherwise, it may make the error in extracting surface step. So I am working on trimming in original parts.

BREAK:IN_02

Subject_01_Basic Shape Experiment

At first, I experiment with basic shape (Cube & Sphere) and explosion accident. I use plug-in for making voronoi breaking in C4D. And I choose the frame for making form for void part in solid.

And then, I export picking frame to maya for making form. The original form will be solid part, and the picking breaking part will be void part in model. I extract the surface line in model for making laser cut model. The solid part will be surface and the void part will be making hole in this step. I will experiment more complex status or accident (like a collision between another form) in next step.
